Taylor Swift shor info

Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania.

She grew up on her family’s 11-acre Christmas-tree farm near Wyomissing and spent summers at a vacation house in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. When Taylor was 13 her parents moved the family to Hendersonville, Tennessee, to support her pursuit of a country-music career in nearby Nashville.

Her father, Scott Kingsley (Scott) Swift, worked in finance (a stockbroker and later a financial-advisory executive) and has been described as an active supporter of her early career; he was born and raised in Pennsylvania.

Her mother, Andrea Gardner (née Finlay) Swift, worked in marketing for a mutual-fund company and comes from a musical family: Taylor’s maternal grandmother, Marjorie Finlay, was a professional opera singer whose recordings and story have been cited by Taylor as an early influence. On both sides the family background includes primarily Scottish, English and German roots (with more distant Italian and Irish ancestry noted in genealogical accounts).
