Nell Fisher is British–New Zealander by background: she was born in London and spent parts of her childhood living in New Zealand and other countries due to her family’s international life. Her father, Toby Fisher, is from New Zealand (an environmental lawyer and former actor) and her mother, Laura Clarke, is a British diplomat.
Acting career & popularity
Nell began acting professionally in 2022 and gained early screen experience in films and TV before breaking through with roles in the horror film Evil Dead Rise (2023) and the comedy Bookworm (2024).
In 2025 she joined the cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things (Season 5) as Holly Wheeler — a casting that brought her wide international attention and significant media coverage.
